Johnson Auto Body is looking for a true General Manager to help lead our shop, our people, and our continued growth.

This is not just a “manager” job. This is a leadership role for someone who understands production, profitability, accountability, customer service, insurance processes, and how to build a strong, positive team.

We are an established, locally owned collision repair facility in Knightdale, NC, operating at approximately $350K per month with a solid 12-person team, an air-conditioned facility, and a strong reputation in the community.

We are looking for someone who can step into a real operation, take ownership, and help us continue moving forward.

What You’ll Be Responsible For: As General Manager, you will help oversee the daily operation of the shop and make sure the team, production, customers, and financial performance are moving in the right direction.

Responsibilities include:
  • Leading daily shop operations and keeping production moving.
  • Managing workflow, scheduling, cycle time, and shop efficiency.
  • Supporting estimators, technicians, parts, front office, and production staff.
  • Holding the team accountable while maintaining a positive culture.
  • Helping improve processes, communication, and consistency.
  • Reviewing production goals, gross profit, and overall shop performance.
  • Handling customer concerns professionally and confidently.
  • Working with insurance companies when needed.
  • Managing supplements, approvals, short pays, and profitability concerns.
  • Pushing back when necessary to protect the customer, the repair, and the business.
  • Making sure repairs move through the shop properly from drop-off to delivery.
  • Helping maintain quality, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Collision repair management experience is strongly preferred. Experience as a production manager, estimator, assistant manager, general manager, or strong shop leader would be valuable.

Compensation & Bonus Opportunity.

This is a $100K–$150K+ opportunity for the right person.
